DOCTOR'S DAY
Three doctors who spoke at the event were: Dr. Tushiya Khurshid Bazaz (MBBS, PGPN Boston, Professional Diploma in Pediatrics Ireland), Dr. Trishnendu Mondal (pediatrician and Neonatologist), and Dr. Nuruddin Sanpui (Medical Officer).
As a gesture of goodwill, Dr. Bazaz offered a free medical check-up for pediatrics, and Dr. Nuruddin Sanpui provided free treatment as a physician.

Coinciding with Raksha Bandhan, students also visited the Dum Dum Police Station and Dum Dum Cantonment Railway Station to tie rakhi to personnel and spread brotherhood
TIGER'S DAY
The event concluded with the screening of a powerful documentary presented by Dr. Chakraborty (filmed by himself), which gave everyone a deeper understanding of the majestic tiger’s life and the urgent need for its protection.

Our school recently hosted a science exhibition that showcased the incredible talents and curiosity of our students.The science exhibition was a resounding success, highlighting students’ passion for science and technology. INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy hosted its investiture ceremony to sprinkle the sense of leadership and responsibility among the students. Our respected Secretary, Mr. Arjun Ghosh and our Vice President, Mrs. Debleena Mukherjee, our Principal, Mr. Bobby Baxter and Mrs. Manonita Majumder handed over the badges to the respective students. EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION - INDIAN SPACE CENTRE
Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy enhanced the curiosity among the new generation taking the students to Indian Centre for Space Physics, Sitapur, West Midnapur. It was with immense excitement, the students gazed the night sky and peeped into the world beyond Earth. Through the largest telescopes in the Eastern India, Vashistha and Arundhati, the children could view the celestial world. The scientists of Indian Centre for Space Physics conducted the session guiding them through the process, unveiling unknown facts about space.
FREE EYE CHECK UP EVENT
The event was attended by 150 people, including students, parents, and teachers. A team of 6 members from Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital conducted the eye check-ups. The eye check-ups were conducted in the school premises, providing a convenient and accessible location for participants. The collaboration with Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital demonstrated the school’s commitment to promoting health and well-being among its students, parents, and staff.
ACTIVITY WEEK
The Activity week in Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy focuses on both physical and mental development of students. This engaging activity week in the school has delightfully inspired creativity, teamwork, and learning among the students. The activities include yoga, swimming, and drawing. On 2nd of February, RAMA observed the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja with great enthusiasm and reverence. The school premises were beautifully decorated with various vibrant colors creating a festive atmosphere that resonated with the spirit of Basant Panchami. The day commenced with ceremonial installation of Devi Saraswati in the school premises. All of our students along with the teachers participated in the events and celebrated the occasion.
REPUBLIC DAY 2025
The day commenced with the solemn hoisting of the Tricolour by our respected Secretary Sir Mr. Arjun Ghosh and principal mam accompanied by resonant strains of the national anthem, sung with profound devotion by the school community and students, each voice a testament to their unwavering allegiance to their motherland.

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL- Winter Fiesta
With the onset of Christmas and the jingling of the bells, RAMA organized its Christmas Carnival with fun, splendor and grandeur on 20th of December, 2024. The children from all the classes participated in different events. There were even many food and game stalls which gathered a huge crowd around.It seemed like a fair filled with fun, food, smiles, excitement and entertainment.

The school excursion to the Alipore Zoo was a resounding success, providing our students and their parents with a fun-filled and educational experience. Board exams can be a stressful and anxiety-actuating experience for students. However, with the right strategies, students can manage their anxiety and perform to the best. Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy conducted a splendid and constructive workshop on stress management and issues of indignation to help the students of classes X and XII excel in their performances.
WORKSHOP-Individual Growth to Institutional Growth
A workshop which was instrumental in highlighting the best in every individual working there and adding those individual growths to institutional growth thereby summing up with a win-win conclusion which is an overall growth. It focused on how an institutional growth leads to an individual growth and vice versa.
MAHASAMADHI DAY OF SRI AUROBINDO
The programme was organized to commemorate the 74th anniversary of Sri Aurobindo’s Mahasamadhi. Special guests from the Brahmkumari organization were invited to our school on this solemn occasion. The programme aimed to inspire students to embody the values and principles taught by Sri Aurobindo, such as self-discipline, self-awareness, and self-transcendence.
MOTHER'S MAHASAMADHI DAY
We gathered at the assembly ground of Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy to observe the Mahasamadhi day of Mother Mirra Alfassa, a spiritual giant who embodied love, light, and divine grace. The observation of Mahasamadhi was a deep reminder of the Mother’s imperishable spiritual heritage and the transformative power of her love and light.
CHILDREN'S DAY
The students and personnel of Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy celebrated the grand hours of Children’s Day with gaiety and fervour to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Today, our school Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy witnessed a epoch making occasion – the Investiture Ceremony 2024. The event marked the induction of new student council of leaders, comprising the School Captain, Vice-Captain, House Captains, and Prefects. They will carry the torch of responsibility in the discharge of various positions.

To uphold the triumph of good over evil, as embodied by Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura, we celebrated ‘Agomoni’ in the school premises. The program was held with the sole purpose to establish the values of courage, strength and the power of feminine among the students.

CAREER ORIENTATION
It was on 28th September and 5th October, Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy conducted its Career Orientation Programme. The highlight of the meeting (28th September) was the meeting with the parents of class X. The parents were addressed by Mr. Sandeep Banerjee (special advisor), a member of our school management. The meeting was very important as it discussed regarding the further admissions in class XI. Special discounts were also decided by the management for early admissions.
FLOOD RELIEF CAMPAIGN
With respect to the recent catastrophic floods that affected the vast areas of West Midnapore, the school management, students and parents of Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy took a socially responsible initiative to provide aid and support to the affected communities.The objectives of the initiative was to provide essential food supplies and materials to the flood-affected peopleand to offer emotional support and comfort to those in need.

Our School, Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy, being the firm believer and follower of Sri Aurobindo’s idealism and philosophy, celebrated India’s 78th Independence day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Sagar Halder of class IX won bronze medal in the Quad 500m event and silver medal in the Quad 1000m event. Along with it he also won the silver cup in U-19 boys Quad event.

Celebrating Rabindra Jayanti in our school has been a wonderful way to honor the life and contributions of Rabindranath Tagore. The programme involved various cultural programs such as singing his songs, reciting his poetry, and conducting art exhibitions showcasing his legacy.

A Sleepaway Camp
It is a supervised program for children right from Nursery to XII. It’s a 10days program conducted inside the school campus during the summer vacation. Summer camp offers a wide variety of specialized activities by trained professionals. The activities include cricket, football, basketball, Table tennis, Karate, Archery, Music, Skating, and amusements for tiny tots. The Prime focus of the Summer Camp is to build leadership, participative, athletic & cultural development, which facilitates children to learn new skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
Just the coolest celebration on Earth
Winter carnival is celebrated before the day of winter vacation in December to give ultimate thrust to Christmas Eve and welcome New Year. Christmas celebrations and New Year around the corner give a flavor of festivity. The entire ground buzzes with various activities, fun and frolic take over everything. A variety of games and mouth-smacking good stalls are amongst the attractive arrangements of Christmas Eve followed by the performance of a colorful program, singing, dancing, drama, DJ-like pomp, and show.

Students of RAMA celebrated earth day by holding a Drawing competition which was based on the topic “Save our planet Earth”. In order to raise awareness among the children and the public which will also help them to know better about their planet Earth.

Like Yoga Day has been celebrated across the world, our school RAMA too celebrated this day. Students performed several yogas as “ yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature a holistic approach to health and well being”.

We celebrated this auspicious day in RAMA. Mrs. Shilpa Gupta, a scientific officer from MP Birla Planetarium, Kolkata, was invited for an interactive session on the topic “super moon” with our students. She said, “Instead of clothes for a change, ask your parents to buy you a pair of binoculars for this puja and look up at the night sky in your own way”, and this motivated our students immensely.

Is the National day of France, which is celebrated each year. It is formally called the ‘ Fete Nationale Francaise’. As our school, RAMA offers a third language “French” as a subject course. So, it is necessary to know about the event.
Go green, breathe clean
Students of RAMA organized this beautiful event through an Extempore competition where they focused on the need of spreading awareness about the environment and the need to conserve it. As it is essential to advocate for a greener environment and the conservation of nature. Their beautiful way of placing the topic in front of judges made them achieve the first position in the competition.

“NOVEMBER 24th SIDDHI DAY OR THE DAY OF VICTORY “ Siddhi day or the Day of Victory Sri Aurobindo experiences the descent of Krishna Consciousness. He explains, “The descent of Krishna would mean the descent of the Overmind Godhead preparing, though not itself actually bringing, the descent of Supermind and Ananda.” Thus, RAMA observed this special day by meditating and offering prayers to our soul patron Sri Aurobindo.
TIMES SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION
Our school have been chosen among all the 57 schools for participating in this quiz competition, our children did extremely well and they were selected in the preliminary round for qualifying the next level, the event were held in HYATT REGENCY on 23rd of November 2022. The event was joyous and our children enjoyed it too.We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

The celebrations began with the Morning Prayer, followed by variety of fun filled programme planned by the teachers for their children. The teachers tried to make Children’s Day special for their children. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.

The competition was conducted among the students of class VII to XII.The students displayed ecstatic spirit and enjoyed the quiz to the fullest, It was a unique way of creating interest and love for reading books to gain knowledge.Thus, this type of competition enhances eagerness among students.

NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE 125TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OBSERVATION
“Men, Money and materials cannot by themselves bring victory or freedom. We must have the motive – power that will inspire us to brave deeds and heroic exploits.” Subhash Chandra Bose stated that only men, money and material are not enough to achieve freedom. According to him, bravery is also as much important and this only comes with the motive power of a person. Netaji was a real brave hero of the India who left his home and comfort forever for his motherland and inspired innumerable youth with his bravery, courage and patriotism. Subhash Chandra Bose believed in action and openly called upon the youth of the country to come together and fight for Independence. Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy is observing this precious day with our students.

Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy (RAMA) has been educating children of the society irrespective of class, caste, creed, and religion since last 30 years.
Apart from quality education we have been rendered services to the society with generocity and affection, we have always been socially commitment in term of spreading awareness like organizing rallys on COVID-19, Dengue, Plastic banning, and Water-Air pollution, campaign on Doctor’s Day and other health issue. Recently a conceptualized event was conducted named ‘Aao Milke Khile’ among parents and students to promote bondage, friendship love, brotherhood & harmony.
For 2023 session a new concept has been undertaken to support Girl child education by reducing the Tuition fees 50% and admission charges 5000/- on 5th December, 2022, the day of Maha Samadhi of Sri Aurobindo.

Measles & Rubella vaccination camp organized by our school Rishi Aurobindo Memorial Academy on 9th of January.
The camp was conducted peacefully by municipal staffs followed by our parents and students who cooperated with them hassle free and the day was made successful by the entire school authority and teachers.

It was an wonderful event today held in Milan Sangha club ground a Football Tournament between “RAMA CHALLENGERS VS RAMA WARRIORS”, it was a friendship match and the players gave their best to win the match and so, RAMA WARRIORS did breathtakingly well and won the match with 11 goals and were awarded with Medals and certificates and lots and lots of appreciation, all the spectators enjoyed the event a Lot.
